Let’s start with the Sentinel. I think I’ll bullet the updates. Just cuz I can. So there. Nyah.

• More twins born in PC. 8% growth seems a little steep.
• Youth protest the city housing prices. Sounds like earth. I feel their pain.
• PCBC troubles. Looks like there is an internal fight about just who should lead the banking institution. Or not. Depends who you talk to.
• Our own Cookster gets a View from Earth. This time discussing acceptance of Keys… both in PC and on earth.
• A PC family was saved by a local woman after the family’s 14 year old son managed to capsize their boat.
• Madame Bianca is new. Hmmm… no more crime for me. Sigh.
• Also, the Sentinel has updated their upcoming events calendar.
• Finally, in non-linkable news, Alejo and Aurora seem to be house hunting. It’s nice to know that this couple is finally settling down.

Phew… One site down, a few more to go. On to the people of PC’s blogs:

Violet reports that she had a quick run-in with Aiko while visiting her dad. This could lead to an interesting confrontation at some point. Hmmm.

Scarlett is trying to figure out what to spend her birthday money on. Kite keycharm…. sounds like those dangly things for on your cellphone to me.

Finally Kurt…. who is slowly breaking my heart. First he reports that he didn’t win at the plane competition… and at the end adds a sad little line… that he’s going out for lunch with a girl from crypto…. then, only a couple of days later, he writes again… this time to deny the fact that he and Violet are an item. The only way he will be truly happy is to admit his feelings for her…. he went to a cult for her! Knelt in mud for her! Saw Gyvann! They belong together. (And if not with her… with someone that can… uh… see him for his true self worth…. even if it might be a long distance relationship….)

Friday link roundup… but where to start? Let’s start with Violet… who has posted for the first time in a few weeks. Looks like she has been pretty busy at work, and now has picked up a young harasser asking about brotherhood documents. Hmmmm.

Next, on to the Sentinel…. There’s a discussion of the biography of Isabella Levenay. Oooh… gossip in the fashion world.. always fun to read.

Seej has had an article published as the latest view from earth column. He discusses Culture Clashes - the similarities and differences between neighboring cultures.

Quick note on the sentinel that Joya has *finally* admitted that she is pregnant… now… who is the father… hmmmm……

Finally, looks like PC wants more of our assistance. The Sentinel is reporting that ad space can be had for free, although, it doesn’t really explain what the contest is to win the space. Also, Open Design is soliciting designs for existing Perplexcity companies.

Well, where to start? How about with Perplex City? It was updated to include the fact that cards would be on sale at the nine locations starting on the 13th. (see the forums for how the card solving is going)

On to my favorite….. the Sentinel.

Madame Bianca signs in with some more interesting futures…. Are you lacking in religion? Should you start a band? Check with her.

There is a book report on the use of earth slang and customs by the youth of PC, and whether or not that’s a good thing…. the fact that the author has switched from cubeology (?) to earthology is slightly interesting.

A beautiful memorial has been set up to honour the 9 students killed while hiking last summer.

Finally, everyone’s favorite PC rock band Roll for Damage has been awarded the coveted City Star leitmark for their work promoting youth participation in civic discourse. Aurora was spotted there with Alejo…. tsk tsk… public displays of affection.

In other Sentinel news, contestants for the upcoming reality show have been leaked. Looks like someone from the academy will be playing this time around.

Scarlett made a quick Solstice update. Just memories of solstices past.

In slightly off topic news, I’m away for a couple weeks, and this blog will be manned by a couple other of the moderators. Be nice. They are friendly. They probably won’t make as many spelling mistakes.

The Sentinel has been updated with a new article about the Mobius Strip, looks like the underwater supports may or may not be cracking. The annual inspection has noticed some cracks… but the engineers say that it’s all just seasonal fluctuations.

In smaller, but more interesting news…. Pietro Salk is in a coma. Sadly, this is just a headline listed on the front page, so we can’t get any more information (yet). The interesting thing is, Salk is the one that reports on much of the cube-happening…. and reported yesterday on Aiko’s release…. now suddenly in a coma? Hmmmm…..

In news from our world…. looks like the Perplex City Subway ads were part of a competition for Viacom. Good luck, Mind Candy on the 29th. Here is the ad that they submitted.

Looks like there wasn’t enough information to hold Aiko, so she’s free from jail and back on the streets of Perplex City. The Sentinel issue also has a new futures column from Madame Bianca. (Alright… who has the fab secret? I need to know….)

In Sentinel news….. Poor little Myra Champaign is being picked on. What did they expect putting a drug-assisted 14 year old into a competition for adults? Curious that she suddenly found all the answers she needed during her break…. wonder if there’s other interesting things going on behind the scenes there.

Also, another view from earth article. This week, we have an interesting article about puzzle cultures both here on earth and also in Perplex City. Interesting article. (PS - I love So Doku puzzles too… )

Some discussion at unfiction about the whole mess. Were “we” right to tell Sente? Should we have only told Violet? Are the PMs being mean for threatening to take away the only puzzle giver? Go. Discuss.
